This position initially will start as an Outside Sales Representative that may transition into a Branch Manager. Piedmont Plastics is looking for a sales driven individual who possesses plastics knowledge and is looking to develop a territory from the ground up.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Utilizing sales and marketing systems, develop and manage the execution of annual sales plan and marketing strategies. 
  • Coordinate with corporate marketing and business managers to assist with vertical integration and recruitment of new markets. 
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with current accounts, visiting when necessary to retain and strengthen business
  • Maintain and enhance product and technical knowledge in the Plastics industry 
  • Review, supervise and develop outside sales to include proper planning, specific target accounts, maintenance accounts, prospects and sales strategy. 
  • Continuously monitor and analyze new and existing accounts to maximize branch gross margin. 
  • In coordination with corporate purchasing, maintain proper inventory mix at efficient levels. 
  • Strive for optimum inventory target level and turnover goals.


To be successful in this position, the ideal candidate will have:

  • 3 to 5 years of recent outside sales experience in plastics, industrial distribution or sign/graphic markets, with a track record of exceeding assigned sales goals.
  • Possess a strong entrepreneurial spirit and driven initiative
  • Excellent communication (oral, written, and presentation) and interpersonal skills
  • An Associate's or Bachelor's degree from a two or four-year college or university and a minimum of two year's related work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience in plastics, industrial distribution or graphics-related sales.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency using MS Office suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • A personal vehicle in good condition 
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • A positive attitude and a team player
  • Willing to travel overnight as needed
